I got a surprise when I went out to check on the sheep in the morning and found this tiny lamb - I thought we were all done! But mum was attentive and all seemed well, so I left them out with the flock rather than bringing them inside.

The rest of the sheep were curious too.

So that was the last lamb, or so I thought...

LATE JUNE
I got arguably an even bigger surprise when I checked on the sheep, clipped and all, in late June to find another newborn lamb. It was another single tip.

I was happy leaving him outside, even if it meant he got a lot of attention.

Clover was over.

The recently weaned sets of twins from the pet flock were curious as well.

So there we have it - the last lamb of 2026!

And Irving.
