2011 is now upon us, so it’s time to look back over last year…
January
I met Rua, a dog who was to become very important to us over the course of the year…
February
Ben the Sprollie arrived, our first ever brown dog, and son of Rua.
March
I turned 15 and I started a blog charting
the adventures of my puppy Ben and his friends. I got a new camera and
used it to take some really cute pictures.
April
I visit a friend’s house and took a lot of photos, while meeting Shane too.
May
The Sheepdog Sisters turned four!
June
My Dad and I made a Shepherd’s Pie (a training ring for the dogs).
July
Ben and Sheila spent many happy days playing in the garden.
August
Ben spent his first day at the beach.
September
I got a new puppy, Pip, daughter of Rua.
October
Pip’s ears went all sticky-uppy.
November
The worst snowfall in 25 years hit Northern Ireland.
December
We had our first lamb, Lucky.
So that’s our year. I hope you had a good one too, and an even better one in 2011! Happy New Year!
PS: Today’s the day that we also
celebrate the birthdays of Fly and Jack because even though we know what
years they were born in, we don’t know the exact date, so…
Happy birthday, Jack (9-years-old today)!
And happy brithday Fly (a whopping 18-years-old today)!
What a lovely chronicle of your year! Pip and Ben are growing so fast! Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteGreat round up of last year!
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask you how Fly was doing, and am glad to hear that she is doing better. That is an amazing age for a border collie, give her a nice gentle massage from me:)
Great pictures! Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking us through 2010. We only met you towards the end of the year and so missed much of the excitement.
ReplyDeleteWe would like to wish Fly and Jack all the best on their Birthdays! May the year be kind to them, and to all of you!
From everyone at
The Poupounette
Happy Birthday to Fly and Jack! Sounds like you had a great year. Can't wait to hear more about your adventures in 2011. Wishing you the best to come. :)
ReplyDeleteRuth, thanks for taking us back through 2010 in lovely pictures. You have a real talent for photography which I'm sure will become even more pronounced as you get older. Happy New Year to all of you, and a special Happy Birthday to Fly. She reminds Mom of her childhood border collie, Missy, who lived to be seventeen. Fly looks great for her age, and her teeth are so sparkly white. Is she raw fed?
ReplyDeleteFly is 18, truly? our boscoe is 15 1/2 and doing well, but on various medications (including insulin). but 18. wow.
ReplyDeleteyour pictures are great i've said it before, but it bears repeating. happy new year!
Happy New Year! Fly still spry at 18 gives me hope for my 12-year old border collie. Cold days aggravate her arthritis, and her vision is not what it was, but she still has great spirit.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for the year ahead. Keep up your great work.
What a great post. You all have a safe and Happy New Year....
