The Balmoral Show 2011

On Thursday I went to the Balmoral Show, Northern Ireland's largest agricultural show. I took a lot of photos (124 to be precise), and here are a few of my favourites:

The winning Clydesdales.

A borrowing owl.

Duck herding!

The lovely Bo.

A nice little donkey.

An adorable little puppy!

Sleeping pigs.

There was lots to see and do. All of the photos won't fit into this post so please watch this video to see the rest...

And all of the photos didn't even fit on there! There are a few more in the Balmoral Show 2011 set on Flickr.

  1. Wow, that must have been a lot of fun! Great pix of all the critters. I like the donkey and the sleeping piggies. Very cute. Thanks for sharing these with us.

  2. It seems every picture tells a story and they are all interesting and beautiful. I love the sleeping puppy, it's so adorable.
Always love your farm pictures and wish one day I could have a chance to attend this kind of agricultural show.

  3. Thanks for sharing this--well-composed account of this event! OS hopes your teachers at school are aware of your blog-craft.

It was surprising to see the Texas Longhorn steer amongst the pictures. Someone traveled quite a distance at some point!

Also loved the horse-and-carriage pics, complete with top hats.

Thanks again. You are a source of cheer to your readers.

  4. Those pictures are fab - I love the duck herding one especially! It looks like a great, lively and *fun* show to attend.

  5. What a great show! Looks like you had a wonderful time. Loved the babies of all kinds, the lop eared goat, fuzzy sheep, gorgeous horses. We have a State fair and the farm and garden section is one of my favorites.
Ryker loved the duck herding best!

  6. What a fabulous show, so much to see - love the owl photo especially but they're all great as usual. x

  7. Awww... loved them all - particularly the little donkey. He looks so soft! :)
