A friend joined Susan and I for a walk around Castlewellan Lake yesterday. It was very cold and dull when we set off.
Susan was of course taking it all in. Lots of sniffs to sniff.
The sun broke through the clouds for a moment on the other side of the lake.
Halfway around and Susan was ready for a rest.
On the move again and sun blessed us once more!
Our reward for walking around the lake was this - the castle in a golden ray of sunshine. Moments later the clouds had moved again and the castle was dull stone again.
It was very handy to have a friend to hold the lead sometimes! We were cold but we had a lot of fun.
