One evening I spontaneously decided to make the drive out to Saint John's Point, a lighthouse that's distantly visible in the fields. I've been meaning to go back for a year or two but just never did until just last week. The jagged coast was beautiful to see.
Poppy was looking very nautical.
The sun was already starting to set.

But the sea was so blue.
My favourite photo.
Something caught Poppy's eye.
Up close to the lighthouse.

There was no one around until this wee dog came around the corner.

She was curious about Poppy and came over to sniff a hello.
Her owner caught up and they kept going, ending up on the opposite side of the lighthouse to us.

Poppy on the rocks.

I walked out on this to get a few photos. I didn't end up going as far as I thought I would - it was a bit scary!

On the way home to pulled into a lay-by to enjoy the sunset over the Mournes.
I didn't quite catch the nuance of the sunset but it was very pretty, I promise.

It was a very fun evening with Poppy.
