Jim Goes Looking For Bluebells

Back in May, I took Jim to Tollymore Forest Park. It was peak bluebell season, and believe it or not, I'd never been to a forest when the bluebells were out. We didn't take long to find our first bluebells - they were growing next to the car park.

I usually walk along the river when I visit here, but this time I went uphill and just went looking for trees that might have bluebells growing under them. Jim was fascinated by this stream.

Even it had bluebells growing next to it.

We walked into a thicker patch of forest.

And it was so beautiful - bluebells everywhere!

We did get a little lost for a bit, but I knew to head downhill - at worst, we'd reach the river at the bottom and follow that back to the car park. We ended up on a path I have been on before.

It took us over a bridge and left us just below the car park.

I was so happy to have finally seen a forest with bluebells. I'll do my best to be back next year.
