The weather forecast for the afternoon was rainy, so one day in June I decided to visit the butterfly house - it was something I could do rain or shine - but when I got there, the sun was still shining. On the way to the Butterfly House, I saw some of the free roaming peacocks.
When I reached the butterfly house, I ended up paying for access to the gardens as well. Still, I started in the butterfly house.
I had never brought a proper camera here before - butterflies are hard to photograph, actually! They're so small and don't stay still for long.
Despite its name, butterflies weren't the only animals in the butterfly house.
The rain was still holding off, so I ventured out into the garden. I had actually never been to the garden before. I challenged myself to take photos I liked that didn't involve sheep or dogs or ponies.
The peacocks were here too.
Back to foliage.

A few more flowers...
...and I'd seen the gardens. They were beautiful. I went back into the butterfly house to see if I could get a few more photos.
Finally, in the car park, I came across my first peahen.
This peacock was keeping an eye on her.
As I was leaving in the car, an extremely heavy shower came on. Just in time!
