Ben’s Pancake Tuesday

Or Shrove Tuesday, as you may call it.

For Pancake Tuesday, I decided to take a photo of a dog with a pancake (didn’t take a lot of imagination to think of that). But who? I ended up choosing Ben, because he’s the most reliable at not eating stuff when I tell him to.

See?

He wasn’t exactly happy to have to pose with something that smelt nice but could not be eaten.

(If you are wondering what the pancake is sitting on, it’s a dog dish with a very chewed toy on top.)

He couldn’t stop himself from dribbling – see the bubbles coming out of his mouth?

Eeeew!

He was obviously longing for that pancake, so I let him eat it.

Much happier now…

Hang on… was that the only pancake??

Bugger.

  1. Oh I missed pancake Tuesday! Darn, couldn't think of what to make for supper last night...we could have had pancakes! In the end I made nothing, everyone had to fend for themselves.
Very nice pictures of Ben, and I like how he is focussed on you, and not the pancake. That's because he knows it's YOU that's going to give him permission to eat it.
    Good boy Ben!

  3. lol at the bubbles :D i forgot it was pancake tuesday until late last night, Sky would have probably loved a pancake. Wouldn't have been able to get a pic of her next to one tho, don't think it would have lasted long enough for me to press the button to take the pic :p

  4. Hey Ben!
Wow, you showed great restraint! I would have had way more than just a spit bubble happening ... big long drools from me! I want to know who had to wipe the dog slobber off of that nice leather couch? BWAR HAR Cute video.

  6. My goodness, Ben, you have will power. I would have eaten that pancake in two seconds!

    Your pal, Pip

P.S: What kind of camera do you have? My mom needs a new one and you always take such great pictures.

  9. I don't know which photo I like better, the one with the bubbles, or the one with his tongue hanging out! All too cute!

  10. Aww, I bet Ryker would love pancakes too. I had a kitty named Boudy that would steal your pancake or at least a bit of it and run off. He really loved them. I miss that little poop!

  12. Ben was so cute! Didn't take very long for that pancake to disappear! My Gino would have gobbled it right up too! LOL! Only Ben was good and let you photograph him first...I could never have gotten away with that!
