Last week we finally had some lambs! All at once! This ewe had twin boys:
This ewe had a single girl:
And then there was this little chap. His mother had no milk, so we used the lamb adoption service, run by a local saleyard, to find a mother for him. One was found within a few hours and that evening he was off to his new home.
It was another whole week before another lamb appeared. That's how it starts...
Awww so sweet!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of the new babies. Glad you found a new mum for the little one.
ReplyDeleteYay! My favorite time of the year is when I get to see lots of lamb pictures from you! They are adorable. I can't wait to see them grow :) I didn't know there were lamb adoption services--I'm so glad that things worked out for that little one.
ReplyDeleteHow does the lamb adoption service work? Like a message board or something?
ReplyDeleteNothing so high tech! There's an ad in the paper every week with a phone number. You call that number, say how many lambs/ewes you have/need and then your name is written down. If someone then calls that number saying that they want a lamb, your number is passed on to them and they call you and then you can arrange collection. It's very good!
