Happy Fifth Birthday, Pip!

It's Little Pip's birthday today! To celebrate her birthday, the local council kindly put on an air display. Pip, Teddy, human friend Dawn, and I went to the field with a picnic to watch. Pip got up as high as she could so she could see the planes better.

Teddy is hiding.

Birthday strokes.

As well as looking out for planes, Pip had to make sure the quad didn't go anywhere without her.

Teddy and Dawn watching the show.

The Typhoon was the most exciting - fast, loud, and it scared all of the birds.

Over the course of the afternoon, all sorts of planes took to the air.

The Red Arrows were supposed to be there too, but they couldn't make it due to a technical difficulty - a shame. Teddy was eyeing our picnic from the safety of under the quad.

Well, Pip, did you enjoy the show?

No sign of the Red Arrows, Dawn...

After running around after the quad for a while, Pip was worn out - but happy.

Happy birthday to my gorgeous Pip, love ya lots.

Pip shares her birthday with Sugar Golden Retriever, so we're taking part in her birthday blog hop to celebrate. Happy birthday, girls!

London Redialling

Back at the end of June, my friend Dawn and I visited London for a day. It was a whirlwind of underground trains, shops, and sightseeing. Here are some of our holiday snaps:

The sunrise. It was early in the morning. So, so early...

We have arrived in London...

There are a number of free newspapers in London. I took a couple to keep as souvenirs. It took me far to long to realise how neat the pattern on the seats was.

Rush hour on the Underground was quite the experience. Emerging into Canary Wharf:

Underground:

Piccadilly Circus:

Underground again:

We stopped in Trafalgar Square. Hi!

Big Ben in the distance:

The London Eye:

Guess where we're going...

...Up the Shard! The view from up here was spectacular, and if you're ever in London, you have to go!

Canary Wharf from a very different angle:

Dawn relaxing at the top of the Shard.

A spot of lunch.

Westminster Abbey:

Buckingham Palace:

A walk through a park:

...And back into the Underground. We went to Oxford Street too, but by that time I was too sweaty and tired to take photos. Must have been bad!

We had a great time, though! We'll be back...
